As a Non-Executive Director I had the privilege to attend the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust AGM (Annual General Meeting) on Wednesday 4th September. University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust includes both the Royal Stoke Hospital and County Hospital, Stafford. It is a time to look back, look forward and meet with some of our amazing staff and partners.
Did you know last year there were:
- 5,964 births
- 165,472 A&E attendances
- 130,083 Non-elective admissions
- £95 million of capital investment
It was a good opportunity to meet Deonne and discuss the plans for the new £42.6 million Community Diagnostic Centre at Hanley which was announced back in May. This is part of a national roll out, which aims to create 160 centres across England.
And, lastly a big shout out for our UHNM Charity and these kind donors who donated £2.4 million to projects this year.
