Alison is an Entrepreneur, Accountant, Scientist, Campaigner and Motivational Speaker.
After studying Physics at Cambridge, Alison joined Shell, first training as an accountant and then leading as a finance manager on billion-dollar energy projects abroad. She then specialised in good governance, making sure our companies are well led and well managed.
Working abroad opened her eyes to injustice and the working conditions of many farmers who supply our high streets. She realised that if you want change, you have to campaign for it and make it happen. This led her to set up an award-winning business which works with over half a million farmers around the world so these farmers can afford a better future for their children.
Alison now serves on boards and audit committees in the public sector, using her skills from business and finance to provide support and independent scrutiny to our vital public services. She also volunteers as a Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths “STEM” Ambassador.
